How do I know if my child lives in a community games area?

Visit the County Page, find your County and look at the list of Areas on that page.  If your Area is not listed there or you are unsure, simply contact your County Secretary using the email link on the page to see if you can set up an Area or  you can email us at development@communitygames.eu.  You can find your eircode by clicking here

How do I know if my child is in the correct age category?

Under Community Games' rules the child must be under the age group on 31st July of that year.  To check you can use our handy age calculator tool HERE

I'm trying to upload a video but It's taking too long, what can I do?

If the file is relatively small, this could be an issue with your WIFI and Broadband. If it's an image expect less than a minute but a video can take up to 5.  It is a good idea to reduce the file size - one way to do this is to email it to yourself and choose Small Size when it asks what size to use.  For a video if you WhatsApp it to yourself it will compress it for you and you can upload it directly from your phone. 

I've entered my child's submission, what happens next?

The competitions are structured similar to the traditional way, after validation (your Area Secretary will validate that your child resides in the registered Area and is entered in the correct age group) your entry will be judged at Area level. This same entry (no need to resubmit) will qualify for County finals and a winner will be selected from each category who will judge a winner from each category.  All the County Finalists will be judged at National Level and the winners will be announced on Facebook and our website at the end of June. 

Does my child get a medal if they come 4th?

Yes, we offer medals from 1st to 4th at National Level.

My child didn't win a medal, will they get a certificate?

Every child will receive a Digital Certificate and this will be emailed to the email you entered at the start in early July. 

How do I know if you received my child's entry?

You will receive a  confirmation entry after you upload your entry, please check your spam folder to make sure you got it!
